You know how they say real fashionistas are born and not made? Well in my case, I can definitely say it's a genetic trait. Between my grandparents' designer furrier business and my aunt's haute couture wedding dress creations, I was always surrounded by stylish relatives growing up. So much so, it wasn't exactly a shocker when my parents caught me making custom outfits for my Barbie dolls as a little girl.
Unfortunately, my passion for beautiful clothing and accessories didn't exactly bloom into business overnight. For some reason, I had it my head that I was going to be this amazing scientist or doctor someday. But really, how could I trade in all my silks and chiffons for scrubs and a lab coat? It took awhile to sink in, but I finally felt like I was ready to take the plunge and open my own store when I realized all the boutiques I loved were never going to offer the level of customer service and designer options I was constantly craving.
Born from a passion for fashion and an appreciation for a French aesthetic, the Boutique LaFleur brand was formed in 2010 with the notion that designer looks aren’t just about labels, but rather the spirit and energy each wearer brings to the pieces themselves.
Each item in our online store is carefully selected by me and often reflects the “of-the-moment” trends as seen in Hollywood and beyond. From A-list designer names like Ulla Johnson, Saint Grace, and Graham and Spencer, to emerging indie labels, we work hard to strike a careful balance between classic basics and dynamic separates.
Today, our small boutique continues to grow, thanks in part to a dedicated following and the opportunity to expand into new categories like eco-friendly and intimates.
